A longing to travel, beach settings and colorful clothing: during the most recent Milan Men’s Fashion Week, all of the industry’s desire for recovery and relaxation takes center stage. Fashion & Luxury finally sees the proverbial light at the end of the tunnel and prepares to face the post-COVID period with hope.
The return to the runway and the desire for optimism
“It is clear that it was a Fashion Week of transition. It is a new beginning, where we were finally able to start seeing and talking to each other face to face once again”, Carlo Capasa, President of the National Chamber of Italian Fashion, tells us at the end of the important event in Milan. In fact, for the first time in a long time, fashion shows were finally held in-person.
The Milanese week recorded the participation of important brands who decided to take their shows to the runway, sending an extremely strong message. The hope is that in September things will finally be back to normal. The latest Fashion Week was still not operating at full speed, but it did see several brands taking a position in favor of the recovery.
A clear desire to return to life in most of the videos and films shown during the event, where the topic of movement and the search for fresh air, like that of the beach or the forest, was often recurring.
The resort friendly mood: waiting for the recovery
It was precisely the aquatic and beach settings, constituting a trend immediately defined as resort friendly, to be the main stylistic key of the event. Very short Bermuda shorts, pastel colors, bucket hats and canvas bags presented in maritime dream locations: the perfect actualization of the general desire for vacation and relaxation.
Streetwear and formal wear come together, then, in a new type of outfit, both elegant and comfortable, classic and casual, basic and chic. Collections that are an authentic concentration of energy, leaving a positive sign that has us all very optimistic in view of the September return. A month in which, we hope, the recovery will officially be considered back on track.
A recovery, in which for months now, here at Bizeta we have felt very strongly about. We will always stand in support of Fashion & Luxury as it continues to run towards an increasingly closer normalcy.
